Easter Cupcakes Available

Managed to create some beautiful Easter cupcakes.  These are now available to order in cute boxes of 6 for £9 and family treat size boxes of 12 for £18.  Available for collection from Sunday, 1st April 2012.  When ordering please state flavours required from vanilla sponge with buttercream and raspberry jam or chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream ( my personal favourite).  Had fun creating the cute little chick hatching from his shell and the bunny rabbit has already been claimed by my daughter, Isabelle.  Also impressed with my first creation of daffodils on these cakes.  The colours really compliment each other and help to remind me that its really spring at last.

Busy time this next week, having a few cake orders to create for surprises so will not mention the designs yet but think i'll be having a few laughs while creating some little characters for one lucky ladies birthday next weekend.

And not forgetting creating some cupcakes for my special friend Michelle, who celebrates her birthday this week.  Will upload pictures on Monday when birthday girl has seen them.  Til next time... x x x

Golden Wedding Anniversary Cake

Had a rosey time this week creating a 50th wedding anniversary cake for Barbara & Jim.  Roses tinted with golden highlights gave a subtle sheen to the cake with a quilted embossed pattern around the edge.  Had pleasure in creating the Lemon infused sponge cake accompanied by a filling of lemon curd and buttercream.  Other flavours are always available.

Fireman Sam Cake For Louie

Had a wonderful time creating this cake for a Fireman Sam fanatic for Louies 4th birthday. Madeira sponge with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream.  Delicious!   

Shooting Birthday Cake

Had a wonderful cake to create this week for a 60th birthday for a gentleman who loves shooting.  I managed to create a unique cake to reflect his hobby.  A model of the man, his dog, Cassie and a few flying birds complete with a pond and ducks.  The cake was a fabulous success and birthday boy loved his cake.  I always love a challenge and relish in the opportunity to use new skills.  What will be my next challenge...?  Check back for regular updates.

Mothers Day Cupcakes

Had a fabulous time creating the Mothers Day cupcakes for all the lovely ladies who had placed orders.  Even had a few spare to share with my beautiful children.  All scrumptious and had to bake another batch on the requests of Isabelle.

A few orders received this week ....

Fabulous news that i've received a few more orders this week and it's only Tuesday.  Got a 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary cake with cupcakes booked in for the end of March.  Also a few orders for Mothers Day cupcakes.  Busy busy ordering new business cards and still tinkering with this blog design.  Excited for the future of I Dream Of Cake.  Baking tomorrow to design some new cupcakes specifically for Mothers Day.   Watch this space. x x x

Had a lovely week this week.  Delighted to have been able to bake chocolate cupcakes for Kate's 5th birthday and a lovely Phineas and Ferb 4th birthday cake for Luke.
